Georgian London's sex trade, walked and performed.
Guided tourHistory
At Foundling Museum.
Maria Beadell, in character as the Baroness, walks the Georgian sex trade through Covent Garden: the Square of Venus, the backstreets off Charing Cross, and the courtesans, brothel keepers and country girls who worked them, told as street theatre rather than as a lecture. It ends at the Nell Gwynne on Bull Inn Court with a tot of gin. Meet at Covent Garden station at 18:00 and finish about 20:00. The ticket includes entry to the Foundling Museum, though the museum is not part of the walk. £30, with concessions available. Over-18s.
