Made for Sophia Duleep Singh's 150th birthday: the story of the suffragette princess and of her sisters, her mother Bamba Muller, her grandmother the Maharani Jind Kaur who ruled the Sikh Empire as regent, and her godmother Queen Victoria, in Victoria's own childhood home. Jind Kaur's emerald and seed-pearl necklace, confiscated by the East India Company in 1848; Sophia's 1911 census form spoiled with 'No Vote, No Census'; the copy of The Suffragette that showed her selling it outside Hampton Court; a neon by Chila Kumari Singh Burman. Included in palace admission.
