Ian Rank-Broadley's bronze shows Diana as she was in the last years, short-haired in a belted shirt, with three children around her standing for the generations her work touched; the brothers unveiled it on 1 July 2021, one of the last things they did together. It stands in the Sunken Garden Edward VII laid out in 1908, which the palace gardeners had already replanted in white for the twentieth anniversary of her death, and it is seen from the arched Cradle Walk round the edge, where the crowds are mostly quiet.
