Mail Rail Tunnel Walks

A hard-hat walk through the parts of the Post Office railway the train never reaches.

Guided tourHistoryUnderground

Single track, in a tunnel barely wider than the train.

In Postal Museum.

The Mail Rail ride covers a loop; the tunnel walk takes you on foot into the rest - platforms, tracks, the train graveyard - with guides telling the story of the people who built, ran and shut it between the 1900s and 2003. About 1.2km on uneven ground in low light, seventy-five minutes, hi-vis and hard hat provided and compulsory. Evenings on selected dates; £58, ages twelve and up.
