Talks and workshops through October in the Harriet Delph room and the restored chapel, most of them under the heading Tales of Departure and most of them about objects: the pin-stuck cushions soldiers sewed between the Crimea and the First World War, the tokens mothers left with babies at the Foundling Hospital, hair worked into jewellery, coins smoothed and engraved as keepsakes between 1752 and 1868, London spirit photography, and the legend attached to the Whittington Stone. A life-drawing evening is staged as Dante's Inferno, Paul Gambino gives an illustrated talk on 20 October and the poet Hilary Davies reads on 15 October; the workshops run to visionary practice, telepathic drawing and making a tarot card of your own. Talks are 19:00 to about 20:45, and the Sunday events start earlier. £16, with concessions available.
