At Battersea Park.

The Decorative Fair has run in Battersea Park since 1985 and comes round three times a year; this is the autumn one, timed for design season. The stock runs from the 1700s to the 1970s and is sold to be lived with rather than catalogued - traditional and decorative antiques on one stand, modernist twentieth-century furniture on the next, and paintings, prints and sculpture from classical to contemporary throughout. Interior decorators buy here, which sets the tone.

Up on the mezzanine is Tribal Art London, a fair inside the fair, and the only British one for tribal and ethnographic art. There is an all-day eatery on the same level, an on-site packer and shipper if you buy something you cannot carry, and dogs are welcome on a lead.

Tuesday 29 September 12:00 to 20:00, Wednesday and Thursday 11:00 to 20:00, Friday and Saturday 11:00 to 19:00, Sunday 11:00 to 18:00. £20 on the Tuesday, £10 for the rest of the week, and free after 16:00 every day. A courtesy coach runs from Cliveden Place off Sloane Square about every fifteen minutes; by train it is Battersea Park station and a fifteen-minute walk.
