Ideal for a sunny day. And for a cold rainy day: "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".
A historically protected lido of 1937, fifty metres of cold water and a very good café.
Swimming
Brockwell Lido closed in 1990 and was reopened by the people who used it, which is still visible in how it is run. Fifty metres, unheated, open all year, with the original streamlined blockhouse of a building around it and a café on the poolside that is worth the trip on its own. The park it sits in climbs to a view back over the City. Sessions are ticketed and the timetable changes with the season.
