Ideal for a sunny day. And for a cold rainy day: "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".
Fifty metres, heated to 24 degrees, open all year and floodlit after dark.
Swimming
Built in 1932, derelict for sixteen years, and reopened in 2006 as the only heated fifty-metre outdoor pool in London. The water sits at around 24 degrees all year, which makes it the one to pick if the point is to swim lengths rather than to endure something. It is floodlit, so winter evenings in steam under the lights are the best time to be in it. Busy at both ends of the working day.
