Restaurants

Where to eat in London: every restaurant the Michelin Guide recognises, from three stars to the ones it simply recommends, and our own picks beside them. Each is marked cheap and cheerful, mid-range or fancy, and flagged when the set menu is a bargain.

Alain Ducasse at The Dorchester

Classical French technique on Park Lane, and the sauces are the reason to come.

Three Michelin starsFour AA rosettesFancy

Contemporary French cooking on Park Lane, inside the hotel, and the London outpost of a chef who has held more Michelin stars than anyone. The kitchen is led day to day by Jean-Philippe Blondet, and the house style is sauce-led in the classical French way: the technique is the point, and the produce is chosen to carry it. The room is lighter and less formal than the address suggests. It has held three stars since 2010.
