Langan's opened in the nineteen-seventies and was one of the rooms that made eating out in London something people did for its own sake. It has been brought back with the neon over the door and the art still on the walls, and the menu is the brasserie canon without apology: Caesar salad, fish pie, a beef Wellington for two, mousse au chocolat.
