Medlar has been on the same stretch long enough to be taken for granted by the people who live around it, which is the compliment it was after. The room is spring-coloured, green banquettes and blossom that is not real. The cooking is classical and careful - a crab raviolo, roast quail with a potato terrine - and a wine is suggested against every dish.
