Rules has never pretended to be anything other than what it is: rooms hung with cartoons and drawings, a cocktail bar up the stairs, and a menu of braised rabbit, steak and kidney pudding and puddings straight out of the nursery. The game comes off an estate the restaurant owns, which very few kitchens anywhere can say.
