Brunswick House is a five-window amber-brick house of the late eighteenth century with a semi-circular porch on fluted columns, standing on its own where the Wandsworth Road meets the Vauxhall gyratory, glass towers on every side of it. It was on the buildings-at-risk register when LASSCO took it on. The firm has dealt in reclamation since 1979, and the stock is arranged as though somebody still lived here: chimneypieces in the front rooms, mirrors, baths and radiators in the vaulted cellar, parquet and reclaimed boards in the ballroom, door furniture and brassfoundry by the stairs. Much of it is architectural rather than furniture: mantels, columns, whole entranceways, shopfronts taken out of other buildings.
Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30, though Friday afternoons sometimes go to private events.
