Guided tours worth booking: walks led by people who know the streets, and the bus, river and cycling tours that earn their fare. Each is drawn on the map as the ground it covers, from where it meets.
Through the four Inns and the courts, on the law's own ground.
Mon & Wed 11:00 · Mon 14:00Walking
The Inns of Court are private societies that between them decide who may practise at the Bar, and their gardens, halls and staircases occupy a quiet quarter between Holborn and the river that most people walk past. The walk takes in what the public can reach and explains what happens behind the rest - pupillage, calls to the Bar, the difference between a barrister and everybody else - and the criminal history that gives it the other half of its name.
Adult £20, students and seniors £15, children £5
