Formed in 1989, and it was Demanufacture in 1995 and Obsolete in 1998 that did it: drums played to a precision nobody had used in metal before, clean singing against a roar, and a lyrical obsession with what machines were going to do to people. Crystal Lake, Hate and The Nocturnal Affair support.
