Cole Escola's play takes the historical fact that Mary Todd Lincoln was miserable in the White House and runs it as farce: she wants to do her cabaret act, her husband has a war on, and the audience knows what is coming at the theatre. It was the surprise of Broadway and has been at the Trafalgar since December 2025.
