History
Deirdre Shields' adaptation sets the diaries beside baroque music and London ballads of the same years: plague, fire, war and the fall of kings, in the words of a man recording ordinary life through all of it. Edward Bennett is Pepys and the soprano Grace Davidson his wife Elizabeth, with Daniel Murphy on lute and David Le Page directing from the violin. Matinee on the Thursday, £17 to £32.
