The lift runs up the inside of the north-west chimney and comes out above the rim in the open air, where the smoke used to, giving 360 degrees from the middle of the river's south bank: Westminster and the London Eye downstream, Chelsea and Fulham up, the Surrey hills behind. An exhibition on the power station's design and construction comes before the ride, and there is an infinity room on the way through. £24 for an adult, or from £16 if you book ahead and take a fixed slot, with concessions available; the exhibition on its own is £10.
Open daily, but the closing time moves between 16:30 and 20:00
