A charity that began with a thousand visitors in its first year and now calls itself London's leading literary festival, it runs across the Merton Arts Space in Wimbledon Library and two auditoria at Wimbledon High School: talks, children's events, workshops and walks, with a Merton Big Read event in September opening the season. The 2026 programme has Elif Shafak, Ben Okri, Max Hastings, Robert Harris and Chris Riddell, with tickets from about £12.50.
