Alex Chinneck built it for the London Design Festival in 2015: an inverted pylon, thirty-five metres of it, leaning as though it had been fired into the peninsula from somewhere off the planet. It is fifteen tons of steel in 450 pieces, and the reason it stands at that angle is out of sight - twenty-five metre piles and a hundred and twenty tonnes of concrete under the grass.
