The Electric keeps its ordinary programme for these screenings - current releases, not children's films - and changes the conditions instead: the sound comes down, the subtitles go on, and the lights stay part way up, so a baby crying is nobody's problem and a parent can leave and come back.
Every adult has to have an infant under two with them, which is the rule that makes the room work. The Electric's seats are armchairs and sofas, which helps.
