The oldest pie and mash shop in London, with the marble counters, the tiles and the eels still in place.

Michele Manze arrived from Ravello and the family took over this shop in 1902; it has served minced beef pies, mashed potato and liquor - a green parsley sauce - across the same marble-topped tables ever since. Jellied eels are on the menu because they always were.
It is a working-class London institution rather than a restaurant, cheap, and closes in the afternoon. The tiling and the wooden benches are original.
