Antonio and Gabriella opened it in 2010, after several trips to London during which they failed to find gelato they thought worth eating. It is made on the premises in small batches every day rather than bought in, with no artificial colour and no thickeners, and the counter changes with the season. The vegan and gluten-free range is a standing part of the list rather than one token tub. There is a second London shop in Kensington and one in Monte-Carlo.
