The sweet course as a destination: gelato and ice cream, cakes and patisserie, chocolate, and the dessert bars where pudding is the whole point. Bread and the morning are next door, in Bakeries.
The chocolatier that made bean-to-bar respectable in London, on the best food street in Marylebone.
Chocolate
Chantal Coady founded Rococo on the King's Road in 1983, when British chocolate meant a box of assorted creams, and built it on single-origin bars, artisan bonbons and a house style of blue-and-white wrappers you can spot across a room. The bars run to sea salt, cardamom and chilli-and-orange; the counter will make up a box a chocolate at a time.
Moxon Street is the short one behind Marylebone High Street with La Fromagerie on one side and the Ginger Pig on the other, and the Sunday farmers' market at the end of it. Hot chocolate and ice cream to take away.
