Getting Batty at Battersea: an evening bat adventure

Bat detectors in Battersea Park at dusk, led by walkers accredited by the Bat Conservation Trust.

Lecture / talkParks & natureFamily friendly

At Battersea Park.

Britain has eighteen bat species and most people have never knowingly seen one. The walk hands you a detector, which drops their echolocation into a range human ears can hear, and teaches you to tell the species apart by the call - along with an introduction to bat ecology, what threatens them and what is being done about it. Children of twelve and over are welcome. It starts at the bandstand at dusk.
