Ideal for a sunny day. And for a cold rainy day: "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing".
A Japanese garden with a waterfall and koi, and peacocks that ignore you.
GardensFree
Given by the Chamber of Commerce of Kyoto in 1991 and built by Japanese gardeners: tiered pools, a tumbling waterfall, stone lanterns and large koi, walled off from the rest of Holland Park so the noise drops the moment you step in. The Fukushima Garden next door was added in 2012. Free, small, best early — it is at its worst at lunchtime and its best in late April for the maples and again in autumn.
