It opens with a two-hour walk on 12 September led by Sheldon of Cemetery Club, on the people buried here and how they lived, at 13:30. A ranger's nature walk and a guided bat walk follow on 13 September, a clay workshop on grave symbolism on 18 September, and an embroidery workshop and a second ranger walk on 19 September. All of it is free. Walks meet at the Cemetery Park Lodge, the red brick building straight ahead of the Southern Grove gates; under-16s come with an adult and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
