Berenjak takes the hole-in-the-wall kabab houses of Tehran as its model and cooks a short menu of skewers over charcoal, with the mezze and pickles that belong beside them. The Soho room is small and loud, exposed brick and painted plaster, and built for eating in, not lingering.
