The house down the lane was John Betjeman's, and Cloth has packed a restaurant into it: Tom Hurst cooking, two wine merchants running the list, and not many tables at all. The cooking is stripped back and led by the ingredient - Dorset crab, Somerset lamb - and the list runs to hundreds of bottles, which the floor space does not prepare you for.
