The windows look onto the cloisters of St Bartholomew the Great, and the room turns its back on the City around it - pale wood, warm colour, crockery made by hand. The menus are set, and the cooking looks delicate without eating that way: an Orkney scallop with Mangalitsa pork and wild garlic is the shape of it.
