Labombe sits in the corner of a Mayfair hotel but has its own entrance and behaves nothing like a hotel restaurant: an open kitchen, noise, and a menu that refuses to settle on one country. A hot tongue bun sits a few lines from a pate en croute, and much of the menu is cooked over fire.
