Nanyang is the old Chinese name for the south seas, and the menu takes in everywhere the trade went - southern China into Malaysia, Singapore and past them. The room is down a narrow passage and easy to walk by. There are three ways to order, a tasting menu, a long carte or a set selection, and the crispy beef ribs are the dish it is known for.
