The owner is in the room and it shows in how the place runs. The cooking is French at the base with a few departures from it - sole fritters with pickled apple and a jalapeno cream to start - and the cheese board is taken as seriously as anything else. The wine goes deep and is not marked up the way the postcode would allow.
