Veeraswamy has been serving since 1926 and cooks across India instead of from one region, with a run of dishes taken from royal kitchens and street snacks rebuilt to sit beside them. British produce does much of the work - Welsh lamb in the Kashmiri rogan josh. The room is full of colour and the window tables look down on Regent Street.
