Two light works by Mykola Kabluka for the London Design Festival: a participatory projection across the west front, and a mirrored canopy in the churchyard that lights up at night.

For the festival's return to St Paul's the Ukrainian lighting designer Mykola Kabluka has made two pieces. Soul is projected onto the cathedral's west front after dark and is built from what people send it - thoughts on hope, peace, kindness and community typed into a digital platform become colour and movement on the stone. The Point of Unity, in the South Churchyard Gardens, is a canopy of mirror that holds the sky, the dome and the passers-by by day and turns into a lit room of fibre-optics, laser and sound at night. Both are outside, free and unticketed, so the steps are the seat.
