Penny Lecture: Neil Kinnock on education

The former Labour leader on what education is for, in the first Penny Lecture of the year.

TalkFree

At Morley College.

Neil Kinnock led the Labour Party from 1983 to 1992 and was the first in his family to go to university, which is the thread this conversation follows: he talks to Morley's principal Susan Bonett and its vice principal Matthew Cunningham about education, what it did for him and what he thinks it is for now. Questions from the floor afterwards, and the college asks people to bring some. Free, at the Waterloo centre, 18:30 to 19:30.
