Guided tours worth booking: walks led by people who know the streets, and the bus, river and cycling tours that earn their fare. Each is drawn on the map as the ground it covers, from where it meets.
Canals, catacombs, ironwork and the market, in the order they happened.
Every Saturday, 11:00Walking
Camden was made by the canal and the railway and has been living off the buildings they left ever since - the horse hospital, the vaults, the ironwork, the wharves - which is why the market looks the way it does. The walk puts the industrial layer back under the stalls, and takes in the terraces and the literary Camden of the 1970s on the way.
