Performance venues

London's stages and concert rooms: the West End houses and the playhouses that make their own shows, the grand halls, the churches with a musical life, the jazz basements, the comedy clubs, the clubs proper, and the rooms above pubs where things start. What is on is listed under each venue, and in What's On.

What is on at them this week is in What's On: Performance

A hundred seats two minutes from King's Cross, where the work-in-progress hour lives.

Fringe & pubsComedy club

Opened in 2017 in a corner building off the Pentonville Road, and it found its trade quickly: a room small enough that a comedian can try an unfinished hour without it costing them anything, and close enough to the station that the audience turns up. Paul Chowdhry, Tim Key and Ellie Taylor have all worked here.

A hundred capacity, its own bar, and step-free from the pavement, which is rarer in this part of the trade than it should be.
