Felix Barrett of Punchdrunk directs a haunting built for a sealed room.
West EndAges 15+
Levi Holloway has written a new story out of the found-footage films rather than staging one of them, and Felix Barrett directs - the founder of Punchdrunk, whose Sleep No More put audiences loose in a building for hours. Here he has the opposite problem and seems to relish it: one room, fixed seats, everyone looking the same way. James and Lou leave Chicago for London to get away from what happened, and the working premise is that a house is never the thing that is haunted.
Melissa James and Ronan Raftery play them. Two hours with an interval. Latecomers are not let in at all, and if you leave the auditorium you are not readmitted, which is unusual enough to plan around.
