Twenty-five years of a Greenwich taiko group who have played the Olympics, Glastonbury and WOMAD.
Folk & world
At Blackheath Halls.
Taiko Meantime formed in Greenwich in 2001 and have spent a quarter of a century pulling Japanese drumming towards funk, jazz, prog and whatever else was available - they played the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, Glastonbury and WOMAD, and more recently worked on the Terminator Live score. This is the anniversary concert, in the Great Hall, and taiko at that scale is as much a physical event as a musical one. Two and a half hours; £22, £20 with concessions, £15 for under-21s.
