Space came out of Liverpool in the mid-nineties with a run of singles that did not sound like anything else on the radio at the time - Female of the Species, Neighbourhood, Avenging Angels - somewhere between spaghetti-western guitar, lounge pop and Tommy Scott's very dry writing.
