The room is in the N1 Centre off Upper Street, reached past the shops, and nothing about the approach prepares you for it. Inside it is a straightforward black box with a wide stage and a floor that sees properly, which is why it gets the bands a rung below the ones playing the Forum. A second room, Academy 2, holds two hundred and fifty and takes the smaller end of the same bill.
