The Rio's first festival for children, over the October half term, five pounds a ticket and three with a Hackney library card.
Festival
At Rio Cinema.
A week of films chosen for young audiences, put on by the Rio itself rather than brought in, with craft sessions run by its Saturday morning club before the screenings. The opening film is The Wild Robot, and the programme is built to be got up and moved around in: the cinema says plainly that children who need to walk about or talk during a film are welcome to, and keeps a quiet space open through the week.
Five pounds a ticket, or three with a Hackney library card.
Sat 24 to Sat 31 October; £5, or £3 with a Hackney library card
