A midnight sing-along on Halloween with a live shadow cast performing in front of the screen.
At Rio Cinema.
The Rio's queer horror strand takes The Rocky Horror Picture Show at half past eleven at night, with a shadow cabaret cast - kings, queens and things from London's queer cabaret scene - acting the film out live in front of it while it plays. There is a costume competition, and calling back at the screen is the point rather than a nuisance.
Rocky Horror has been played this way since the 1970s, when audiences in New York started answering the film and never stopped; a shadow cast is the full version of the tradition.
