Farmers' Markets

Where the person behind the stall grew it. London's farmers' markets, most of them one morning a week: raw milk and day-boat fish, biodynamic vegetables and rare-breed meat, and two midweek markets that are really about lunch.

Wimbledon Farmers' Market

Goats' milk and cheese from Ellie's Dairy, and four farms' worth of fruit and vegetables.

SaturdayRaw milkOrganic & biodynamic

The range is wide for a school-playground market: seasonal cut flowers from Grange Nurseries, organic meat and poultry from Galileo Farm, game in season, goats' milk and cheese from Ellie's Dairy, and fruit and vegetables from Perry Court Farm, Wild Country Organics, Chegworth Valley and Ted's Veg between them. Pies, cakes, bread, herbs, honey, free-range and organic eggs and cheese around those.

The stallholders are the reason people mention it - engaging and knowledgeable, which is worth more than another vegetable stall.
