Clarke's has run for over four decades under the same name and the same person, which accounts for a dining room largely made up of people who have been coming for years. The menu is seasonal, British and Mediterranean, and handled lightly - lemon sole, a loin of fallow deer. There is a shop across the road for taking something home.
