Restaurants

Where to eat in London: every restaurant the Michelin Guide recognises, from three stars to the ones it simply recommends, and our own picks beside them. Each is marked cheap and cheerful, mid-range or fancy, and flagged when the set menu is a bargain.

Lita

Named for a grandmother, and cooked by a chef who came from a three-star kitchen.

One Michelin starFancy

Lita is short for abuelita, Spanish for grandmother, and the restaurant is built on the idea that the best cooking is the most generous. Kostas Papathanasiou runs it, having been executive chef at Frantzen in Stockholm, which holds three stars, and worked at the Fat Duck and the Ledbury before that. It is a Marylebone Village room and cooks over fire.
