Performance venues

London's stages and concert rooms: the West End houses and the playhouses that make their own shows, the grand halls, the churches with a musical life, the jazz basements, the comedy clubs, the clubs proper, and the rooms above pubs where things start. What is on is listed under each venue, and in What's On.

What is on at them this week is in What's On: Performance

Corner Corner

A Canada Water warehouse of street food and free jazz, with a working farm inside it.

JazzGigsFree to hear

Broadwick and KERB run it between them, which tells you the shape: KERB choose the food-hall traders, so the stalls are picked rather than let, and Broadwick programme the music - live jazz every week and selectors playing disco, funk and soul from Thursday to Sunday, free to walk in on.

The reason to come even if you are not eating is the Plant Room, which Harvest London built into the building: the largest commercial indoor vertical farm in the city, growing without pesticides under controlled light and humidity all year, feeding the stalls a few metres away and restaurants across London. You can book an hour inside it in the morning. There is also a run club, terrarium workshops and a night where people pitch their single friends to the room.
