The company's standing trick is that the text is performed properly and one actor, chosen that night, is genuinely drunk, so the rest of the cast have to get Dickens to the end around whatever that person does. It returns to this theatre every Christmas, which tells you the joke holds up better than it has any right to. Scrooge, the three spirits and Tiny Tim all survive in some condition.
