Wally Baram: My Snake's Quinceañera

The Overcompensating star's first UK stand-up dates, late on in Soho Downstairs.

At Soho Theatre.

Wally Baram is a Mexican-Syrian stand-up, writer and actress from New York who plays the high-school outsider in Benito Skinner's Amazon series Overcompensating, a debut that took an Independent Spirit Award nomination for best breakthrough performance. She has written for What We Do in the Shadows, Disney+'s English Teacher, HBO's Betty and Amazon's Sprung, and produced on Netflix's Neon and Apple TV's Shrinking.

The hour is on the strange banalities of arriving at adult life and on growing up with more than one culture in the house. Just For Laughs made her a New Face; her late-night debut was on Colbert. Sixty minutes, recommended for sixteen and over, and the first time she has played Britain. £24, with discounts for students, seniors and the unwaged.
